Our email system maintains a Blocked & Unsubscribed Email List to ensure that messages are not sent to invalid or uninterested recipients. This list includes:

  • Hard-bounced emails: Addresses where previous emails could not be delivered permanently.

  • Spam-reported emails: Addresses that have marked previous messages as spam.

Emails on this list will never receive any messages from the system, ensuring compliance with best practices and protecting overall deliverability performance.

How Are These Emails Managed?

Manual removal by administrators:

Administrators can manually remove emails from the Blocked & Unsubscribed list if necessary. This allows controlled reactivation of previously bounced or unsubscribed temporary emails.

To do this, navigate to:

Email & SMS > Blocked & Unsubscribed in the left-hand menu.

Filtering in the People section:

In the People & Organizations section, you can use filters to view profiles with blocked or unsubscribed emails. This helps you quickly identify affected contacts.

Profile indicator:

Profiles with blocked or unsubscribed emails display a triangled exclamation mark (!) next to the email address. This makes it easy to see whether that email is on the list.

What Should You Do?

  • Check before resending: Always review blocked emails before manually reactivating them.

  • Keep your email lists clean: This feature helps maintain list hygiene and reduce bounce rates.

  • Respect user preferences: Unsubscribed contacts should only be re-added if they explicitly request to receive emails again.
