Personalization fields are dynamic placeholders that automatically insert specific information about the recipient into your emails or SMS messages. This allows you to personalize each message without manually editing every message.
Purpose: To make communication more personal and engaging.
Examples of fields: Recipient’s name, membership number, donation amount, campaign name, or other profile information stored in your CRM.
How it works: When you insert a field like {{NAME}} into your template, it is replaced with the recipient’s actual information when the message is sent.
Usage examples:
Hello {{NAME}}, thank you for your donation of {{DONATION_AMOUNT}}.
Your {{MEMBERSHIP_TYPE}} membership is expiring soon.
Personalization fields are commonly used in emails, SMS messages, and automated notifications to make communications feel more personal and effective.
How Can I Create Personalization Fields?
From the left-hand menu, go to:
Email & SMS > Templates > Personalization Fields > Create Personalization Field
Here you can enter:
The field name
The profile information it should correspond to
A default value to use if no data is available
System Link for SMS:
This field can be placed wherever you want a link to appear in SMS messages sent to recipients (e.g., for information, balance, card updates, etc.). Outside of system login SMS messages, this field does not serve any other function.
